Political back-stabbing of PMs was started back in the 60's when Gorton was found to be such a dud. McMahon stabbed Gorton. Menzies was knifed by Fadden in 41.... and Hughes knifed Fisher in 1915 and Hughes was eventually stabbed by Bruce in '23.
