Even then REX has 10 Slots that is enough foot in the door in my opinion. Also there would not be that many more slots on the new runaway they will still need to cater for the other runway.
I could be wrong in saying this, but doesn't the Airport only allow 15 Minutes for the Aircraft to from loading to take off. If Qantas or Virgin cant meet there deadline you sure bet they will be calling REX to fill it as a favour so they can keep there slot.
