re: reagan has died Yes there is a bigger picture sailorgirl. There's the damage his economic policies did to the US economy.

But the point I am making is that Reagan set the CIA upon a small country which had democratically elected its government but which idealogues like Reagan disapproved of. Then they defied Congress which was opposed to removing a democratically elected government, raising money directly from right wing contributors and illegally selling arms to Iran, North Korea, etc etc. Reagan all along calls these unspeakable terrorists "freedom fighters" (get the irony here). The terrorists are using the CIA manual on how to depose a government - by assassinating judges, mayors and public officials.

In my opinion, Alzheimers was used as a cover to stop Reagan going to the Hague along with Milosevic (and Sharon I hope).


Now, where's the bigger story than that?
