Picking up on the theme of some posters here, with ZZ's sudden departure, what has happened to our China projects and the $200M plus pipeline?
ZZ was our Mr China. He is a very senior water exec with a huge network of contracts. He put together the PET-Beijing water agreement. Freedman made him Deputy Chairman. He oversaw our China team.
ZZ was given star billing at both the 2019 and 2020 AGM with a 20 minute speech each time detailing the China business projects and strategy.
ZZ's departure statement was short, terse and written by the Company Secretary!!!! Freedman couldn't even offer any comments or thanks. This leads me to believe that it must have been significantly bad. Time will tell, I am not going to hypothesis baseless nonsense.
My point is, the 'loss of face' by his PET departure can't bode well for PET's Chinese Business and therefore the pipeline. I agree that fancy photos and social media won't cut it, although helpful and nice for us investors.
