One other point made at the AGM in response to a question was that negotiations are still proceeding regarding supermarkets' stocking of TGR products (for 2021 I think, but have forgotten the date given).
I assume this largely refers to WOW, Australia's largest chain, and MTS (Supa IGA stores in particular, the large format ones that are often a joint venture between MTS and franchisees/owner operators).
The meeting slides also referred to how a major Australian retailer wlil begin stocking Tropico prawns (that's the brand name for this new line from TGR) in December 2020. No one asked who it was. I would hope WOW. This should be a positive development notwithstanding volatile prawn prices. The MD made the salient point that larger prawns (that TGR seems to be achieving) attract higher wholesale (and retail) prices. Everyone who loves prawns knows how we go for the big ones.
