Hmm. Hard to know how to treat anecdotal or personal milk preferences.

I do buy organic milk, not so much for claimed health benefits but for taste and shelf life. That's a competitor product Shultz. From the same area as AHF, almost just down the road.

Quite a few cafe's inner Melbourne use Shultz. Local IGA has it stocked, as do some stalls at Queen Victoria Market in the organic section.

At $6 / 2l (approx) versus $2 / 2l (generic, non organic) how many buyers are there? No idea. In our house we would use 4l / week, so cost is $12 / week, Our two coffees from the cafe around the corner are $9 / day. That is, cost of milk is really low in our budget even at $3 / l. Another comparitor, internet and phone is around $25 / week.

From what I'm seeing in fruit and vegetables at QVM, the organic premium has reduced over the years, although that may now have stopped or slowed.

Is the organic strategy a winner? All still a bit of a punt really. As it has been for what, near 4, or 5?, years now when first mooted at AGM at Williamstown. I thought it was but now seems with other competitors already established much harder.

Many of the other concerns, sure. Not sure when the 10 year anniversary is, but must be pretty soon. Will a profit be reported by then?
