Yes Thor (what is your name please?), the one child family will unfortunately prove to be a disaster for China... However, the nature of the Chinese is not as belligerent as that of their neighbours (Japanese, Mongolians and even Vietnamese). Therefore i don't think they will embark upon a belicose foreign policy... After all, many Asian (and ASEAN) countries are already looking toward Bejiing as their natural de-facto economic leader. As for the European countries and the opium wars...Well.....I would here also add the Extraterritoriality Policies of Many European countries....But people tend to have short memories(thank god for that, in most cases)...Especially if their standard of living has improved by leaps and bounds over the last 20 or so years....
