No AlCP, we can't agree....and it is only you who needs to be constantly corrected with you complete lack of understanding.

Your second point is particularly special & ignorant - I already know that the wheezing my son experiences is related to his asthma because: -
    1. HE HAS ALREADY BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH ASTHMA SO DOESN'T NEED SPIROMETRY TO TELL ME THIS AGAIN!!
    2. THE WHEEZE WILL BE RELATED TO HIS ASTHMA AS THE MEASUREMENT THAT WHEEZO PROVIDES IS COMPELTELY OBJECTIVE TELLS US THE LEVEL OF WHEEZE AND CAN CONNECT TO THE TRIGGERS THAT HAVE CAUSED THE ELVEVATED LEVEL OF WHEEZE.
    3. WHEEZO TELLS ME BETWEEN 2- 4 TIMES A DAY THE WHEEZE THAT MY SON IS EXPERIECING IN REAL TIME AND WHETHER HE IS AT RISK OF AN EXACERBATION - BEFORE IT HAPPENS.

Spirometry is used as part of a process to diagnose the disease / condition of asthma....it does not diagnose asthma attacks (you seem to think that an asthma attack happens in a split second, one minute an asthmatic is healthy and the next minute they are having an attack!) Only someone who has no real world experience with asthma would think like this and also someone who has no experience with Spirometry in the real world other than what they read in a book or paper would think that Spirometry by itself diagnoses anything!!! it is a test used to evidence lung function at a particular point in time and as part of a framework for gathering evidence to provide a diagnosis.

Have you ever used or experienced Spirometry in the real world?

The simple fact is AlCP, is that in your desperate attempt to try and connect the importance of Spirometry to Wheezo, once my sons diagnosis has been made and now we have the Wheezo system which is far and away the far more superior, advanced and user-friendly system, we have never or will ever need Spirometry for our son. ---- if you try and argue against as a carer of an asthmatic versus a book jockey, you are more challenged and ignorant and dangerous than i thought.
