Yeah I'm not saying 3rd largest as in that's necessarily where I believe they'll end up, just saying that that's the highest in the pecking order I think they would want to go. Going beyond that would require (in my opinion) changing the fundamentals under which they operate, and they'd risk losing their identity and the qualities that made them popular in the first place.
Beating Optus in the fixed line space is well within the realm of possibility in the next 5 years. I can definitely see Aussie BB doing that.
This is all just complete speculation of course, and I'm probably biased because I personally want to see a decent company like Aussie BB getting amongst it. They remind me of Internode of past before they were bought out.
