That's precisely what caused the spike in the morning, and the last 30 minute sell off on Friday. Many are day traders, or T+2 traders and they knew that if announcement were not to be made before 7pm Friday, VPG's shares will be suspended.
Hence, this, coupled with some panic sell from nervous ones caused sp to drop to 3.2c at close (though as many here pointed out at very low volue at this level).
If I recall correctly, the average sp on Friday was around 3.65c.
In view of the above and potential instos (most likely Orbis) and director buying, I would expect the likelihood of sp going down to 2.xc for too long next Monday to be low.
