No I dont think you're here to downramp APT, my comment was more general that you shouldn't believe everything you read without emceeing evidence which you have provided so thank you!
As a user and shareholder I wasn't aware that Afterpay is increasing limits to $3k. I'm not a huge fan of this decision if I'm honest.
Regarding your other point. Yes, Afterpay is making this decision purely on behavioural data. This isn't uncommon. I've explained in detail why that would be the case in the link provided in a previous comment.
