Well if some one can tell me where these new satellite co's will get the spetrum then at least they can try and establish an australian satellite internet service.Even the satellite services telstra uses is not performing well (financially).irradium by memory. This type of service still wont compete,I believe mbot mentioned a couple of regions,i'm sure the australian telcos will link those regions with more efficient 4g/5g technology.ie mobile towers at some stage. nbn has its own satellites,nbn requires its finite spectrum holdings for its satellites and 5g ground services. Having ACMA or FCC approval to be a teco means nothing. Again 26ghz auction is planned for early 2021,after that auction I don't believe ACMA has any further spectrum auctions planned. So these new satellite companies can have thousands of satellites and i believe there is more than just one,but if as posted many times they do not get spectrum required from a country then they can not connect to that country. The only possiblity is tpg who may partner with a satellite service using their spectrum for rural/regional areas.
