Your right imo Jetrodder .
It would not matter what leader the lnp had if the shift was not on it wouldn't have mattered who lead .
Remember it just takes stability in leadership first and Anna was a default leader of the labor party .
She is now going be the longest term holding female leader of a position in Australia .
She got the better result because the lnp could not gain traction in the city of all places !
Where a liberal mayor is sitting in office .
The lnp gained no traction in their member retiring seats .
Mostly male counterparts if you want genders' lost them the seats they had held before
I do believe its merit based so if they lost them they didnt have the candidates who had what the public wanted to represent them regardless of gender .
You would be mad to pick a gender war in politics . The country has more females than males .
