if you want to do some fundamental research I'd suggest having a look at the deflation that accompanied the great depression in the '30s and then have a look at what the Dow did from 29 to 32 and it might give you a different perspective on what's going on at the moment.
I expect bhp to be back in the low 20's in the next week or three.
