new junk from china gets transported from ships by aussie trucks to aussie warehouses, who employ aussies, who distribute to aussie wholesalers who employ aussies, who then transport it by more aussie trucks with aussie drivers to aussie retail outlets which employ aussies
all those aussies on the way pay taxes and all the businesses might even pay taxes
that's totally different to buying second hand chinese crap from the market down the road or the bloke in the next block
none of which pay tax - perhaps the market person pays some tax in their cash only business -------- bit unlikely
