Mate I did the same when I started out ...very similar numbers to what you're talking about.
my biggest mistake was lack of patience and getting caught up in dips and swells which ended with me buying the highs and selling the lows...a very good way to loose the lot.
if I had stuck to my initial 5 year plan and kept my initial parcels without chasing my tail I would have been well in the green. In the end I stripped my Portfolio back to 3 stocks I felt comfortable with and could look into without it taking over my life. If you can't afford to loose it then don't play with it. Once you pick your stocks don't be swayed by internet experts as it's all just educated assumption at best.
