IIRC, when the CSIRO deal was first announced, it was preceded by a rise in the SP - clearly a leak. I reckon this time they decided to get the trading halt going immediately so no chance of people trading on insider knowledge.
All that the suspension means is that they don't have the announcement and associated commentary ready yet, which I think is more likely to be positive than negative (shouldn't take long to write an announcement that results are negative).
