Myer has been dead, and has been for years. Its not about Myer in Carindale, but Myer as a company. In my opinion only, (and as a representative of the sort of client they try to lure through their doors) they stock their store with cheap chinese clothes and try to charge premium prices for it..more broadly the concept widely discussed is that the department store as a concept is dead.

In relation to CDP, my only concern (which they would work through I am sure just like they did with David Jones) is that a failure would see three floors of space become available. But then Myer has been failing for a decade, and I am sure it would be rescued if it ever went belly up a few more times so its probably me just worrying too much. CDP would simply divy up the space and let it to smaller chains like they did with Kmart.

This thing in my opinion only (DYOR) is cheap, really cheap - I am slowly accumulating whenever I can under say $5 at the moment. I wish one of my speculative stocks would pay off so I could reinvest here.
