If you want to play just on div front, i would like to post my view in that part...
AMP is paying $0.16/share, i.e. at current price 0.16/4.3 = 3.7% yield... but if you buy telstra now, who is paying $0.14 the yiled becomes 0.14/3.42 = 4.09%...
I hope you get my point...
There are lots of other cos whose yeilds are much more than these 2....
my concern with AMP is the chart looks like in a downtrend...
Good luck if you went onto buy any of the shares in today's market...
