Unfair is it seems to a non holder, I would just take the money and run because court action would mean that the payout, should it come, would be years away.
The Opes Prime mess is a clear indication of how inept the regulators have been over the last few decades. ANZ haqve not exactly shown themselves to be caring corporate citizens either.
However, in the current market a payout of 40c in the dollar might be enough to buy back the share portfolio as it was in March 2008.
