Those who bought into the cap raise were only able to do so because they were already holders. We don't know when they became holders and at what price, but I would think it was way north of the $1.70 CR price. Those people were using the CR as a means of doubling down. For example, my average is around $5. I don't think many people buying into the CR have tripled their money, doubled it, or even turned a profit – but of course that depends on their averages.
Yes, those shares bought at $1.70 have tripled in value. But the losses suffered on those shares bought at much higher prices would be an anchor weighing against the profit.
