Telstra dividends were a golden dividend goose for a long time. if you want a fairly reliable income do some research on VAS or similar equity trusts. They have very low fees and and a good return history made up of growth and dividends. I'm not giving you financial advice and you need to do your own research but I think you'll find it worth a look.
