Mondelez (Cadbury and various other brands) is yet another multinational that like Gillette loves to virtue signal.
Saputo (Mersey Valley and Warrnambool among other cheeses) is another one. Remember how it has decided to change the name of much loved Coon Cheese for no good reason given the brand's history. Again, some 30 year old marketing analyst has told management how 'we must change' but like Gillette the latter are too stupid, or too woke, to realise that there can be a backlash. The fracas with Gillette's disgraceful advertisements (attacking males) cost Procter and Gamble more than US$1 billion in lost revenue. Off my shopping list!
For instance it's signed up to the scam for a particular type of certification.
It's rare for me to purchase a Mondelez product. Look on the label if you're unsure of its brands.
I don't have BGA but this looked like an attempt by a multinational to bully it and hope that BGA would not contest the matter all the way to the High Court of Australia.
Good decision, and I'll be buying BGA cheese when I next run out.
