It may not be the cheapest. It just needs to be cheap enough to make a profit to justify its current price or higher.
But, it is a conventional producer of oil and gas. So, already that places it on the cheaper end of the cost curve than unconventional producers- CSG and shale.
Or did you mean cheap as in the cost of its shares compared to its value/book value etc?
If there is a better buy than WPL on the ASX I would be delighted to hear of it. My wallet is open to such. All ears...
