The ROC stake may be part of the negotiation. As you say the leakage leading to a surge would likely see ROC trade down it's stake at an accelerated rate.
Just a scenario...... but if you're shell wouldn't you want that stake.... wouldn't you be in talks directly with ROC over that stake. I'm guessing with all this talk of Shell being the obvious buyer of the Crux stake they're the obvious buyer of the ROC shares.
