There will be a demerger alright. They would not have left the Toronto Stock Exchange otherwise. They will probably need to call an emergency general meeting to get the consolidation to get through. The main reason for the consolidation IMO is to have a reasonable share price for the water business when it is demerged and listed as an IPO.
