Here is the text of the letter from Trevor Rowe which I got on Tuesday. I had to retype it, and I've left out a few irrelevant bits.

"All Project Documents and Specifically the Equity Underwriting Agreement remain fully in force and binding on all parties. We expect all parties to abide in their contractual committements to BrisConnections, including the underwriters.

"We have passed your letter on to the underwriters for their information. Clearly, we cannot influence the decisions of the underwriters no can we speculate on what decisions they may or may notmake but we have requested that they provide the assurance you seek.

"In relation to the other matter raised, we are assessing whether this is possible to effect. We recognise your concerns and will endeavour to allay them as soon as possible.

"Airport link is, we believe, a vital piece of infrastructure... blah blah... bypass 18 traffic light .

"I re-iterate that Brisconnections, its advisers (Goldman Sachs JB Were) and indeed the underwriters are considering whether there are any options available. I can assure you that the various parties are assiduously considering if there are alternatives, however, given the prevailing financial market crisis, there is no guarantee that any viable option will be forthcoming, and accordingly, we strongly recommend that you consult your personal financial adviser regarding your individual circumstances.
