Not sure where the last thread on the 4th Industrial Revolution went, though I was going to suggest that it was a great time to revisit the commentary provided by Genevieve Bell back in August. For those that haven't seen it this is a seriously great presentation.

Genevieve Bell is an Australian anthropologist best known for her work at the intersection of cultural practice and technology development. Bell established the 3A Institute (at the Australian National University College of Engineering and Computer Science) to focus on exploring how to bring together data science, design thinking and ethnography to drive new approaches in engineering; and to question of what it means to be human in a data-driven economy and world.

"The 4th Industrial Revolution: Responsible & Secure AI" was given on August 12, 02020 as part of Long Now's Seminar series. The series was started in 02003 to build a compelling body of ideas about long-term thinking from some of the world's leading thinkers.
