Newcrest used to own the tenement but gave it up over a decade ago when gold price was 400 USD and cost to explore it was 450 USD.
The tenements were then scooped up by third party from where Rincon acquired it. An interesting fact is that Rio Tinto also tried to acquire the assets, but Rincon secured first rights a few years back to Rio Tinto was unsuccessful
