Fair call, to be honest I started reading at the end and then went to the first post, apologies, but like you say nothing has or will change with petitions, I think it requires some of the companies being manipulated to stand up to the asx, maybe say due to the uneven playing field they will be moving to a different exchange, as many already ban shorting and bot trading.
