Fair dinkum harvett what a load of contradictory nonsense that post was!

For a start, your comments on particular people who have 'learnt nothing' are just plain arrogant and unsubstantiated.

And then,painfully, you are one of those - you did it heaps last week - who constantly complain about "the verbal attacks many of you blokes dished up to anything anyone said that you did not like" and then YOU dish it out with interest! (e.g. gsw has 'learnt nothing' - because why? Because he doesn't agree with sensible old harvett!) Hypocrisy perhaps - or just ignorance of irony?

Then you say "fresh enthusiasm, wild speculation, new chapters to look forward to are all simply emotional response that quite frankly are not health at this time".

Then you say - with 'enthusiasm' - that its "time for a different direction". What's that if it is not a 'new chapter'? Can't have it both ways harvett.

As for 'never doubting my own opinions again', that sounds like a recipe for intransigence, dogmatism and stubborness. In all things in life, there's a time for doubt - and a time for resoluteness. The trick is knowing when.

As for 'healthy debates', there has been plenty of that - with just a pinch of acrimony here and there. As for 'herd mentality' I haven't detected too much of that. If you have perceived yourself going along with a 'herd', that's an issue for you. Not necessarily for others.

By the way harv, what's the view like from up there on that high horse?
