great post stockrock.... there was an avalanche of information yesterday...we certainly got the announcements we’d been waiting for!
With regards to SR-aGVHD, I agree that Ryoncil (REM-L) isn’t a blockbuster but it meets an unmet need in treatment of aGVHD disease. SI went for the challenging one; the toughest of the tough...and SI & MSB showed that Ryoncil works.
I don’t know SI or anyone at MSB but I imagine the FDAs response has got to really, really grate on them. I believe they will not stop until Ryoncil is approved & available.... not so they can prove a point, but so that the product can save young patients from having to suffer horribly due to the disease & the unnecessary deaths. Not to mention how horrific this disease must be for families & treating physicians.
I get the feeling SI & MSB team will let go of the Ryoncil fight the day hell freezes over. For those of us who listened to the public hearing, we simply can’t ‘unhear’ what we heard. I’m sure we all look forward to the day Ryoncil is approved...to me, that will be the sweetest day!
Until then, with regards to Ryoncil: “sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same”.
