The NBN is already outdated as 12mbs and it truly bothers me that on a fanciful whim (Rudd sees himself as a bit of a techhead) attempt to build the NBN. I mean when he promised to put a PC on every childs desk, he did not cost installation, housing, training and ongoing maintenance etc which doubled the costs. For this reason NSW initially did not want to accept the offer. (Not sure if they have now. It went quiet). Imagine the blow out with the proposed NBN.
The article below exemplifies Conroy/Rudd's position. It sounds as if they always wanted Telstra out of the equation.
