@beisha read your post with interest; FWIW I have been playing with TA for the last decade or so & I have never been able to find a TA x -over approach that works consistently and long term. Years ago I back tested many combos and NONE proved long term profitable.

This is in NO WAY a criticism but 100% in the vain of "sharing and learning".

A few points:
-when I look at your " 5 & 9 ema cross over of the 20 sma" in detail I see many more xes than you have shown; (see screen shot below where i have shown green arrow for x over = entry and red arrow fow X below = sell) when these xes happen after short periods it destroys profitability and given that you are buying and selling the next day eg whipsawed in and out of trade. AFTER the X can lead to destruction of $$$$$. NOTE: did the arrows v quick by "eye" so might be out a bit ..... but tells "the story"

- Have you actually traded the system?

I might be missing something here and happy to hear if that is the case.

PS Loved the trading on Friday and in particular the "closing print" as has been reported on the forum here particularly by @PICT . The "capper" really did seem to be taken out on the close IMO.

PS2 Oppies grabbing a trade was impressive also; mentioned them on here recently and had made a note to self to pick up the last million or so of the .001's in the sell stack before the buy side appeared .... got busy and missed the opportunity ..... what a great R/R they offered for next week IMO. Head move < 1c = lose money; move to 1.3 c and suspect the Risk = .001 and Reward = .003 SWEET for those who played.
