The great thing about politics in Aus, not that I respect them mind you, is that it is a democracy and Conroy is just part of the process. He can say what he likes but there are many more politicians who will disagree.

Can you imagine the uproar if the NBN was awarded and built with taxpayer money to a foreign entity, espeically one owned by a foreign Gov't. We would have definetley sold the baby. Especially all the talk about blocking the Chinese owning some of the medium miners, the NBN would be magnified by 100.

Double PS. imagine if it is awarded and the build started, then the co and the Gov't get into trouble and need HELP. TLS could come in with a re-adjusted quote that would include a "fixing the mess" premium.
