To replace him in this late stage of the game would be disastrous for TNG (and ultimately shareholders). For all the man's faults, he is so familiar with the project, to replace him now with someone who needs to get up to speed and form relationships would most probably cause further delays at Gov level and with the Germans.

And ando, I wasn't saying that he didn't hire consulants, what I'm saying his role should have changed and a new CEO installed who is experienced in putting together the later stages of a project. PBs role, I believe is invaluable, but the skills didn't meet what the project needed after all the geology had been done.
