If QAN 'really wanted to protect' its passengers and on board staff, it wouldn't be booking middle seats and would leave them vacant.

International research shows that the droplets circulate in the aircraft cabin for three or four minutes before being removed.

Compulsory mask wearing isn't the answer as passengers remove these for all manner of reasons, including eating, drinking, blowing one's nose, scratching an itch and so on.

It's not up to QAN to enforce vaccinations. That's up to governments, and our very good Prime Minister Scott Morrfison MP has said today that vaccination won't be compulsory. I am NOT an anti-vaxxer and will be obtaining a shot (or shots) when available, but QAN is stepping out of line.

If only Mr Joyce paid as much attention to his rude staff as he does to going beyond his remit, QAN might be a better airline than many others internationally. But the Asian airlines beat it in so many ways, and are often cheaper, so why pay more for a shoddy deal from overrated QAN?

An additional reason not to use QAN on overseas trips.
