Because they're talking about Q3 FY2021 which starts January 2021. Here's a sexy graphic I made years ago because this conversation happens all the time. Feel free to use it, print it and keep an eye out for the FY when folks are discussing quarters.

Incidentally, the Financial Year reference is the year it ends in (so FY2021 ends in 2021). Same as the way Q1 can be called the September quarter. Though it's not that common to say it like that.
