Che80, great letter! I hadn't thought about the imnpact on businesses etc if the NBN is incomplete or inefficient. If the NBN is patchwork and responsibilities are not clearly defined it can be one frustrating disaster. Based on what I have heard him say in the media, I think his vision is limited. For a start, it seems unrealistic to be in a position to extend the NBN to 98% of the population. Telstra queried this in their submission, as they proposed that the NBN be extended to 90% of the population.
Having emailed Conroy's office, I will now write to my local member. Every little bit helps. Stephen Conroy's web site is http://www.minister.dbcde.gov.au/media - Nothing much under the media segment of any real content or achievement. His biography portrays him as a beaurocrat rather than having worked in the industry and without any formal qualificaiton that I can see.
