    Why sell property?
Do you think it will decrease in value?

I'm looking at the odds Matt. It clear there is still some risk in shares but I don't see how those shares which don't go legs up can fall another 25%. BHP and WPL are the obvious survivors. I think they are pretty safe and have a div return of 3% FF.

What about property? Gives about 3-4% (on current realisable value, which is how we calc return on shares) but without franking and there are always going to be hassles. Realistically there is little on the up side for the next couple of years (especially in my town which is doing it tough ATM) but there could be a real drop. I don't know for sure, nor do you.

Mrs H retired last year and I'm thinking about giving it up myself. The body could do a bit more but the mind is rooted. :)
