Unexpected but good news from Ghana by old school fax machine no less, now we will really see if Shandong's "B&F" offer at $1.00 was a genuine mistake or not when/if Shandong respond and lets see if they really were prepared to offer $1.05 or whether they somehow try to argue that the bid from Ghana is an inferior offer.

Will be interesting to see if Samson Special Opp Funds are dragged to the Takeovers Panel and forced to fulfil their previous acceptance.

I don't think there is anything to stop Shandong and Nord engineering another stalemate at $1.05 though is there? Both bidders seem determined not to overpay for control of CDV. Either way I think its safe to say that CDV holders wouldn't want to be trapped as minority shareholders in a Nord or Shandong controlled CDV.
