Just to be sure we are on the same page my "back of the envelope" numbers were for 6 months. So "$100k for the new employee" is circa $200k per year.
The reason I was thinking 6 months was this could be the probation period whereby AFL goes - we have a dud and then lets the lawyer go. So the total cost (ie at risk) would be less than $150k for a new office office opening. And this assumes no billings in the first 6 months....
Also, I don't know if there are any revenue or profit sharing deals with the employees - presumeably with a lower base salary - or if the employees are all on fixed salaries.
