Piglover, you better start swinging from trees, because in case you haven't noticed, NCM is closing in on its umpteen year high in a falling gold market. Most other goldies are 30% lower than their April highs! Telfer at full production will increase NCM's gold production to 1.7M oz per year. NCM will be gobbled up by one of the big majors when Telfer prooves itself and not before. NCM at US$3B is a steal!! Newmont have US$1B in their kitty and have had so for around 6 months. I suspect it is for them to buy NCM's 22% of Boddington and Anglo's 33% but another option would be to gobble NCM up for Possibly US$3.5B and increase their interest in boddington to 67%. They could then offer Anglo their 50% of the super pit in exchange for Anglo's 33% of Bodington. I know for a fact that Newmont do not want another partnership in a mining operation if they can help it and will use the Super pit equity to bargain for 100% ownership of boddington if possible.
