For those whom wonder how far we are from a JORC compliant resource estimate at Stricklands, Please see the email reply from JP this evening. Things chronologically seem to happen in our favour soon. Good luck to all!
We are progressing with the scoping study for the starter mine at Stricklands. 1. Assays for the RC drill-out at Stricklands have been received. These holes are infill drilling of known mineralisation and will be used for the resource estimate. We do not intend to separately announce assays for these holes as they reflect mineralisation at Stricklands which is already known.
2. Entech are well advanced with the analysis for the resource. To finalise the resource we also need the metallurgical testwork from Canada which, amongst other matters, will indicate the ability to produce a saleable concentrate from disseminated sulphides. The amount of disseminated sulphides to be included in the resource will then drive the pit design, and optimisation of the resource. Without completion of all these steps we cannot reliably finalise the JORC estimate.
3. The intention with the Stricklands resource is to establish a small resource that can be mined quickly and cheaply. We are not aiming to drill-out the entire belt just yet and announce the biggest resource possible. We want a low-cost and low-risk mine that we can action very quickly.
4. We expect interim results from Canada any day now. There have been delays in Canada.
5. Our aim was to release the JORC resource by the end of 2020. We will have a better idea if we can still meet this target over the next week or so.
