Supertramp makes some very good points. But to again highlight what he is saying re the trial being pushed out. This has happened for two reasons. Firstly covid is delaying getting the right number of patience enrolled. But, more imporantly, PtX 100 is working, lives are being extended, and this means more PTX 100 needs to be made, and the end date needs to extend.
Although as share holders we want results and we want them yesterday, that doesnt work with cancer drugs normally. For most cancer drugs the longer the trial takes the better. This means the drug is performing better than the normal standard of care treatment, and extending life. The longer the extension the better the drug.
Hopefully we will get another prelim announcement before the Q2 one. Hopefully it will not only mention the safety of the drug, but also give some hint of Patient response to the drug. What has been announced so far looks very promising.
My research shows that thge initial phase one trials for early Car -T were relatively quick. This is mainly because by design, that system works quickly. Reading of the adverse effects of Gen1 Car-T is eye watering. If Omnicar can get the same results or better, and early Car-T is already at 90 to 100% response rate, but with better safety, it could be a market winner.
