The Aus Government says it will take barley (and presumably at some point wine) to the WTO. However the WTO appeals body is currently not-functioning as the the Office of the United States Trade Representative has blocked any re-appointments.
Who knows how long this situation will take to rectify.
The Government must know the actual situation. ie that the WTO is unlikely to be effective anytime soon, if ever. It would be good if the Aus government could tell the truth instead of treating being in Government as one long marketing exercise.
