Driven by strong viewership from the four regionalized online tournaments of the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Beijing-Haidian 2020 culminating on Sunday, ESL’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive channel secured the top spot on our weekly Twitch channel ranking. The tournament’s European division featured a $150K USD prize pool and saw Team Vitality’s french squad claiming victory over Natus Vincere. The North American division of the tournament came with a $70K prize pool, the winner’s share of which Chaos Esports Club won by beating the Kevin Durant-backed Triumph organization. The Asia and Oceania divisions featured a $15K prize pool each.

The popularity of the event was also reflected in Alexandre “Gaules” Borba and CS:GO Maincast’s channel csgomc_ru reaching rank No. 3 and No.4, respectively. Borba, who is a retired Brazilian Counter-Strike player and coach, co-streams Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments on his personal channel in Portuguese. CS:GO Maincast broadcasted the IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 Online in Russian.

The highest-ranking individual on this week’s list was Spanish G2 Esports streamer Ibai “ibai” Llanos who ranked second with 2.55M hours watched during the period. Llanos got to end his Sunday live-stream reacting to the Esports Awards 2020 announcing him as the winner of the best streamer category.

Twitch’s Top Content – Just Chatting

Throughout the last 19 weeks, the Just Chatting category was the most-watched content category on Twitch in 18 weeks. Last week, it amassed more than 52M hours watched, which marks a slight increase from last week. Riot Games’ League of Legends was watched a cumulative 27.15M hours during the week claiming the second rank once again despite its total hours watched dropping on a weekly basis since Riot Games concluded its annual League of Legends World Championship three weeks ago.

This week’s top four spots of Twitch’s top content categories were rounded off by Epic Games’ battle royale game Fortnite and Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which was released on Nov. 13.
