67b, why would you want to buy Acacia shares when in a year or three's time we will see the remnants of the Acacia attempts to build the NBN. Fact is that Telstra are miles ahead with backhaul and the copper mile. I would put my money on Telstra in the longer term, as I doubt very much that Acacia or any other contenders for the NBN will succeed.
I am aware my outlook is very negative for the NBN. However, I base this on experience. Twenty Five years in financial software, and oh how many BIG contenders could do it better than our company, small but efficient as we were, and over the 25 years we usually won, after the dust had settled and the novalty has warn off. This is history repeating itself as far as I am concerned. Acacia are a consortium of individuals. Are they technologically aware? probably not because they can buy that expertise....and so it goes on. True, management a business accumen is imperative, but only those who understand the business succeed!
