Discovery keeping their close relationship with Sky. Their purchase of Mediaworks went through yesterday, but they have confirmed that they value the Sky relationship and are not planning to pull the pay-TV channels anytime soon.
Very good news.
There was media speculation a few weeks back that Discovery may want to add Sky to their portfolio too after they finalised the Mediaworks purchase. With the sudden change in CEO, could this be a catalyst for something like this?
At the end of the day, I have no idea and don't know more than anyone else, so this is not a prediction in any way shape or form.
But these are very interesting times for Sky!
