Yeah good points gpoe but the U.S. have very quickly and firmly placed themselves back in the arctic - Greenland in a way to deny - stop China. Simple but very swift strategic move and the arctic will much prefer such an alliance and have very much welcomed such with immediate effect - the U.S. have gained so much already that China has failed for all that time you mention of interests in the arctic.
